The new toon in Dandys World: Yatta

Yatta the Piñata, also known as Yatta, is one of the 28 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on March 14th, 2025. She is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Yatta is a piñata with a vibrant color palette. She has two piñata points on her head that stick straight up with strands of ribbons consisting of sky-blue and bright yellow, her face is in sky-blue, pink and bright yellow. A simple, toothy grin stretches across her face. Her arm is mostly bright yellow, with 2 pink and sky-blue stripes. Her body contains colorful stripes of pink, sky-blue, and bright yellow, reminiscent of the traditional paper fringe of a piñata. She has 4 long tails, which are pink, flat, and the 2 upper tails are longer than the lower two.

Personality

Yatta is an energetic, generous, hyper and loud Toon, always putting her friends in a positive light and "highly". As seen in conversations with Astro and Teagan, Yatta is jittery and hates keeping still. She also doesn't fall easily for tricks, as seen in Gigi's dialogue with her. However, sometimes her behaviour can make some of the Toons concerned for her. She is somewhat impatient, as shown in one of her interactions with Connie.

Strategies

Having a Yatta in your team with a Sprout can help with the Tape earning, as she can drop worthless candy for the Sprout to pick up for extra Tapes, or candy that has use and which grants more Tapes, like Box o' Chocolates or Jawbreakers, letting them be able to heal Toons faster.

Yatta is a great supporter, as her passive ability, Piñata Party, is useful for other players. For instance, Toons with weak Movement Speed stars or Low Stamina such as Connie or Gigi can take advantage of Speed Candies or Box o' Chocolates to significantly boost their vulnerable weak run-status. (However, Gigi can easily grab one of those items in her ability, but extra ones wouldn't be bad.)

However, do note that her Passive Ability does not only support others but also herself, which makes her have a huge potential to be a excellent Survivalist. Since she has a below average Stamina stat (of 1 ), Chocolates can increase her Stamina but for a short time, making Trinkets much more plausible to help. Speedometer or Water Cooler increase Stamina permanently, making them a better option.

As Yatta, you should vote for the Well-Paced and Endurance Cards as they complement her Stamina nicely. Since they can only be voted 2 times, Yatta will have a total of 120 Stamina, which is almost equivalent to 2 of Stamina (Being 125).

Her lackluster Stamina will make it a harder time to escape from Twisteds such as Twisted Vee, and so the Dog Plush Trinket is a very viable choice for her to use since her 4 Movement Speed combined with a 10% Walk Speed increase will make Yatta outwalk a huge variety of Twisteds, especially some of the Main Character ones.

Despite her 1 Stamina, she can be great at distracting and escaping Twisteds if you have the right trinkets such as Dog Plush, Ribbon Spool, and Clown Horn. It's recommended to use her as a backup distractor due to her status being of an all-rounder, taking the role between an Extractor, Distractor, and sometimes Support due to her passive ability.

With Yatta being a Common Toon, you can also learn 3 roles-in-one together, as she'll be obtainable by most publics and also haves the capacity of saving, extracting faster than many or even a uphold to others in round. Being also able to be a 4th role if she's guaranteed to drop/get Stamina items, surviving and running more with higher Stamina.

Trinket Combinations

Recommended Trinket combinations for Yatta:

Distraction

• Dog Plush/ Speedy Shoes, Ribbon Spool or Clown Horn

  • Speedy Shoes, the current meta distractor set. You will be able to match the speed of Twisteds Twisted Shelly, Twisted Toodles and gain the ability to loop Twisted Pebble.

  • If you and another distractor are willing to duo-distract, Ribbon Spool or Clown Horn are perfect to do it. This set allows Yatta to out-walk fast Twisteds and outrun during Panic Mode everything but Twisted Glisten, Pebble and Twisted Vee when you are inflicted with the Slow II debuff.

• Pink Bow/ Speedy Shoes and Ribbon Spool/ Clown Horn

  • Both sets are intended for survival and luring Twisteds, not distracting them full time. Due to her low Stamina, Pink Bow/Speedy Shoes will help you make more use out of Yatta's Stamina by greatly reducing the time wasted fleeing from twisteds. Ribbon Spool/Clown Horn is more of a all-round navigation set, while enabling Yatta to be a backup distractor if one is needed.

• Dog Plush/Any

  • This is a decent set for a backup distractor, all while you can fit any other Trinket with it. For example, pairing Dog Plush with Vee's Remote or Magnifying Glass allows you to contribute progress to your team's machine completion.

  • Extraction

    • Magnifying Glass/ Participation Award or Pink Bow

      • Participation Award allows her to extract at roughly as fast as Vee by maximizing the Skill Check extraction. Pink Bow is centered around improving survivability, making extractor Yatta's speed unmatched outside of Panic Mode and extracting extremely safe if you are paying attention to your surroundings.

    Other

    • Bone or Feather Duster/Any

      • These Trinkets work effectively for Yatta's passive ability since she drops her items. Escaping is easier when she picks up her candy. Feather Duster plays a role in helping her escape. After she is hit, she’s able to collect her the four candies she dropped to regain Stamina and continue running away. Bone helps improve her mobility, helping her traverse faster to other areas, and if done in a hit-and-bait way, Yatta escapes faster with her remaining Stamina.
